Willie Mae Atkinson age 90 of Guin, AL passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham, AL.

Born August 3, 1927 she is the Daughter of the late Forrest Greeley and Rosa Lee Franks Silas and the Wife of the late James Edgar Atkinson.  She had retired from Munsingwear and had lived in the Yampertown Community most of her life.  She was a member of the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 Daughters, Nelda Dunn of Guin, AL, and Sandra (Danny) Green of Brilliant, AL, A Son Jim (Eugenia) Atkinson of Guin, AL, 7 Grandchildren, Joy Cooper, Jennifer Roberts, Chad Green, Lisa Nix, Meredith Green, Jared Green and Danna Hardin, 19 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, A Sister, Linda Spiller of Brilliant, AL, 3 Brothers, Harold Silas of Hamilton, AL, Bryan Silas of Guin, AL, Wayne Silas of Winfield, AL and a host of Nieces and Nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Edgar Atkinson, a Daughter, Mary Faye Atkinson, 4 Sisters, Ruby Lee Silas, Helen Weaver, Betty Franks and Rosemary Shirley and 3 Brothers, Robert Silas, Bruce Silas and Donald Silas.

Services held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 12 noon from the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.  Bro. Mike Beckon, Wayne Silas and Bryan Silas officiating.

Visitation Saturday 11 – 12 noon at the church.
