Victoria Jean Franklin Sisson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June the 12th, 2018. Victoria was born on May 13, 1965 to William O. and Karen G. Franklin in Racine, Wisconsin. She attended schools in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Sulligent, Alabama. She was Valedictorian of her class at Sulligent High in 1983. She graduated Cum Laude from Radcliffe College at Harvard University, Class of 1983. She graduated from Duke University Law School in 1990. She was called to the Alabama Bar in 1987 with her future husband, Dr. Graham L. Sisson Jr. She and the love of her life were married on June 6, 1992. She practiced law in Birmingham, AL for 28 years.

She is mourned by her loving husband Graham of Birmingham, AL, her father William O. Franklin, sister Melissa Rae Franklin Hayes, and nephew and godson Ethan William Hayes of Sulligent, Alabama, sister Rebecca F. Vertes (Akos) of Reston, Virginia, Klara Louise Vertes of New York, New York.

She donated her time generously to the Birmingham Bar Association, Harvard Alumni Association, Duke Alumni Association, National Business Institute and worked as a Jefferson County Poll worker for decades. In 2007 she was honored by the Harvard Alumni Association for her outstanding service to the Harvard Alumni community. In 1994, Victoria argued a case before the US Supreme Court. She will be missed by many in the Birmingham legal community.

Memorial Services held Monday June 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm with burial in the Pine Springs Cemetery. Rev. Kurtis Schultz officiating.
